Job Purpose:
A strategic HR leader responsible for building and sustaining high-performance teams while maintaining a lean corporate structure. The HR Manager will play a critical role in shaping organizational culture, implementing modern HR practices, and aligning people strategies with business goals. This role requires a balance between strategic vision and hands-on execution, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and innovation in all HR functions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Venture Staffing
- Design and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with business growth.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for core roles including developers, product managers, growth hackers, and other critical positions.
- Develop recruitment partnerships with universities, accelerators, incubators, and tech communities to access emerging talent.
- Oversee contractor, consultant, and freelance onboarding for project-based or venture-specific needs.
- Introduce employer branding initiatives to position the company as a top employer in the region.
Performance & Culture Development
- Implement OKR-based performance management frameworks with clear milestones and transparent evaluation.
- Design competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive structures tailored to attract and retain top talent while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and collaboration while ensuring compliance with governance and ethical standards.
- Lead succession planning for key leadership roles and establish leadership development programs.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives including feedback systems, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Jordanian labor laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Manage payroll, benefits administration, and leave policies, balancing startup flexibility with corporate governance standards.
- Oversee HR budget planning, forecasting, and reporting to ensure resource efficiency.
- Implement and manage HR technology systems (HRIS/ATS/LMS) to support distributed and hybrid teams.
- Establish HR policies, handbooks, and guidelines to standardize practices across the organization.
Learning & Development
- Build training and development frameworks to support employee upskilling, leadership readiness, and career growth.
- Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and design targeted learning programs.
- Encourage a continuous learning culture through mentoring, coaching, and digital learning platforms.
Strategic HR Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy.
- Provide data-driven HR insights and analytics to support decision-making.
- Lead change management initiatives to support business transformation and scaling.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to ensure a fair and dynamic workplace.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certifications such as SHRM/CHRP are a plus).
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record in talent acquisition, organizational development, and HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of Jordanian labor laws and international HR best practices.
- Experience in scaling organizations, preferably in fintech, startups, or fast-paced industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategy with organizational goals.
- Proficiency in HR technology platforms (HRIS, ATS, performance management tools).
