Job Brief:
Responsible for overseeing and managing all technical activities related to data center operations and fiber optic connections for main routers, servers, and associated infrastructure to ensure reliable network performance, maintain seamless connectivity, and perform reactive and proactive field activities for operational efficiency within the data center environment
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain telecommunications equipment, including routers, servers, and related hardware in the data center
- Deploy, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic connections to ensure reliable, high-speed data transmission
- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on telecom equipment and fiber infrastructure to meet industry standards
- Work with network technicians, IT teams, and vendors to support installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Keep accurate records of configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports
- Provide on-call support for critical issues, ensuring quick resolution of connectivity or equipment failures
- Organize and maintain structured cabling systems, ensuring proper labeling and documentation of all connections
- Use specialized tools to test and certify fiber optic and copper cabling for performance and compliance with standards
- Track and manage inventory of telecom tools, spare parts, and consumables to ensure availability for maintenance and installations
- Proficiently use tools such as OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer), fusion splicers, power meters, cable testers, and crimping tools to perform installations, diagnostics, and repairs
Requirements
Education ;Bachelor Degree in Telecom or any other related field
Level of Experience : Limited Experience (2-5Yrs) in a related field
10% Office - 90% Field
Certifications & Licensure

- Driving license

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces as needed for datacenter operations
