We are seeking a Quality Health Safety Environment (QHSE) Officer to join our team in Amman. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of our QHSE standards across offices and regional operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of QHSE policies and procedures in line with local laws and company standards.
- Assist in maintaining International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications through effective document control, record keeping, and preparation for audits.
- Review and update quality documentation to ensure timely revisions aligned with operational changes.
- Conduct regular inspections of offices and workshops, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Support incident reporting and Root Incident Review (RIR) processes, including classification, tracking, and closure of actions.
- Monitor and analyze In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) data to identify trends and recommend improvements in driving safety.
- Participate in emergency response planning, firefighting system checks, and drills.
- Support awareness sessions and training programs, including onboarding and refresher courses.
- Maintain accurate QHSE records and prepare monthly reports covering statistics, audits, and corrective actions.
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives by collecting environmental and energy data to support the Net Zero baseline study.
- Perform other related QHSE duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in oilfield services, energy, or industrial environments.
Knowledge and Skills
- Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
- Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, or NEBOSH guidelines.
- Strong understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
