Key Accountabilities :
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials accurately, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Organize and arrange inventory within the storage area, optimizing space utilization and accessibility for efficient retrieval.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, receipts, and disbursements using manual or computerized inventory management systems.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate requisitions for replenishment in a timely manner to prevent stockouts and operational disruptions.
- Prepare and issue materials to authorized personnel based on approved requests and established procedures.
- Conduct regular stocktaking and reconciliation exercises to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage environment, adhering to safety regulations and best practices for material handling.
- Ensure proper labeling and identification of all materials to facilitate easy identification and retrieval.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address inventory-related inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and improve inventory management processes.
- Dispose of obsolete or damaged materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Ensure the security of the store and its contents, implementing measures to prevent theft, damage, or unauthorized access.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any issues or concerns related to store operations.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner, if required.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management procedures and best practices.
- Participate in audits and inspections of the store to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or a related field.
