The Opportunity
We are looking for a
Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager with strong Financial Services (FS) sector experience—particularly in
Core and Corporate Banking, technology transformation, and consulting delivery.
In this role, you will support senior leaders in delivering large-scale FS transformation engagements, driving architectural analysis, supporting business development, and working directly with senior stakeholders across Banking and FS institutions. You will also contribute to proposals, develop strategic recommendations, and help coordinate multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
This is a high-impact client-facing role, suitable for consulting professionals who can combine technical insight, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills.
Your Key Responsibilities
Client & Strategic Responsibilities
- Support the development of technology and transformation strategies within the Financial Services sector (Banking, Digital Banking Units, Fintech).
- Assist in shaping technology roadmaps, target operating models, and transformation recommendations.
- Conduct assessments of current-state systems, enterprise architecture, digital platforms, and Core Banking solutions.
- Prepare high-quality client presentations, reports, and strategic recommendations.
- Work closely with clients to identify technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and transformation levers.
Delivery & Technical Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of key FS transformation initiatives, including Core Banking modernization, digital channels, cloud, and enterprise architecture engagements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—architecture, engineering, data, and operations—to ensure seamless delivery.
- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements.
- Develop process flows, solution options, architectural views, and delivery documentation.
- Assist in tracking program KPIs, risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams.
- Contribute to quality assurance activities and ensure deliverables meet EY standards.
Business Development & Proposal Support
- Support pursuit teams in preparing proposals, RFP responses, business cases, and solution design content.
- Conduct market research, benchmarking, and competitor analysis to support value propositions.
- Participate in client meetings and pre-sales discussions, representing EY with professionalism.
People & Leadership Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and informal coaching to junior team members (Analysts and Consultants).
- Support knowledge creation, internal training, and competency-building activities within the TST team.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, collaboration, and ownership.
Skills & Attributes For Success
- Strong understanding of the Financial Services sector, especially Core/Corporate Banking and digital FS solutions.
- Solid consulting skillset—analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and effective communication.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to participate in senior discussions with confidence.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Strong presentation and documentation skills.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in technology consulting, FS transformation, enterprise architecture, or digital banking programs.
- Exposure to technology strategy, architecture assessments, or Core Banking/digital platform initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
- Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
Ideally, You Will Also Have
- Experience in a Big 4 or top-tier technology consulting firm.
- Arabic language proficiency.
- Certifications such as PMP, TOGAF, ITIL, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting or delivering transformation projects for government or regulatory bodies in FS.
