About the Role
The Senior Project Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation and coordination and monitoring of project activities related to entrepreneurship ecosystem development at universities across Jordan. The position focuses on the successful delivery of project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support the project manager in ensuring the implementation of all project activities and achievement of objectives within the agreed timelines and budget.
- Monitor the execution of the project roadmap and assist in aligning activities with the project’s work plan and performance indicators.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities between the project management unit and external partners to ensure proper execution of agreed procedures and work standards.
- Ensure the delivery of outputs and outcomes in accordance with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
- Act as the focal point for university-level activities, maintaining effective communication and coordination with focal points and academic partners.
- Conduct frequent field visits to monitor implementation, assess progress, and identify areas for technical or operational support.
- Support the planning and execution of workshops, training sessions, awareness campaigns, and entrepreneurship-related events.
- Ensure proper monitoring of project indicators and progress toward results.
- Support data collection, verification, and analysis to inform progress reports and decision-making.
- Prepare and contribute to periodic narrative and technical reports in coordination with the project manager.
- Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with established guidelines.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and timely delivery of results.
- Support coordination with partner institutions, trainers, mentors, and other ecosystem actors to maintain synergy among all project components.
- Facilitate communication between university teams, mentors, and the central project office to ensure efficient flow of information.
- Track project expenditures and ensure alignment with planned activities and approved budgets.
- Support financial forecasting, procurement processes, and logistical arrangements related to project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with internal administrative and financial procedures.
- Identify operational and implementation risks and propose corrective actions as needed.
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across all implementing entities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or any related field.
- Total Experience of 5-7 in project implementation and management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project implementation and management, financial oversight, or program administration, preferably in the nonprofit or development sector.
- Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder funds and working with diverse implementing partners.
- Experience in youth empowerment, workforce development, or economic inclusion programs is highly desirable.
- Able to travel frequently within Jordan.
