To provide an integrated, high quality and effective HR service to the organization, facilitating
organizational development and providing a framework of HR best practice.
Position in the Organization
- Reports to the CEO.
- Dotted line responsibility to the Operation Manager
- Partners with the Department heads and teams to advise and give direction on HR approach and best practices.
- Provides a full HR service to the staff.
- Liaises with Payroll (Finance) and staff representatives.
- Networks and liaises with counterparts and leaders in the same sector and service providers
- Establishes contact with legal counsel/lawyers of the organization
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Ensure awareness, adherence and understanding of policies and procedures for all staff including personal conduct, data protection
- Ensure alignment of HR goals and people-focused business objectives, assessing and anticipating HR related needs.
- To partner with and advise line managers, providing options and solutions to deal effectively with staffing matters in alignment with policies, procedures and employment law.
- Undertake the recruitment and selection process at the company in coordination with the top management in order to meet the manpower plan of the organization.
- Ensure that an appropriate training and induction program is developed and implemented for all staff to include organization, program, role and technical briefings, in coordination with the line manager.
- Implement on-boarding procedures/system and orientation/probation/training programs for new employees in coordination with the line manager.
- Coordinate off-boarding processes relating to the cessations of employment in coordination with the line manager.
- Maintain up to date grading, job titles, job functions and adequate benefits system in the organization.
- Implement the performance appraisal system in the organization.
- Develop an annual training and development calendar and conduct training sessions to meet certain training requirements of the employees when needed.
- Organize an up to date and efficient filing for the HR department, both physically and on the servers of the organization, as per the data protection legislation of the country.
- Generate any certificates or letters relating to employees or any other correspondence as requested.
- Payroll.
Qualifications:
- BA in HR, business administration or any relevant field
- PHRi or a similar certification (desirable)
- Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. CIPD) (desirable)
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of HR experience
- Experience of working with HR systems.
- Proven experience of providing proactive, professional HR service and advice across the full range of operational issues, including recruitment, performance management, conduct issues and sickness issues, applying employment law and best practice.
- Experience of team working, including work in fast moving environment.
Skills:
- Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of current employment law, Jordan Labor Law, Social Security regulations, good HR practice and people management.
- Excellent written & verbal skills in English and Arabic.
- Strong analytical skills and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines within a changing environment.
- Ability to act on own initiative, within specified boundaries.
