The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), established in 1977, is a leading non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to advancing rights-based, sustainable human development in Jordan and the broader region. Operating through a network of 52 community development centers across Jordan, JOHUD empowers communities to collaborate in improving livelihoods and ensuring equitable access to essential resources that support healthy and fulfilling lives.
JOHUD is currently seeking to recruit a Case Manager responsible for promoting quality and effective outcomes by facilitating communication and providing appropriate resources tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals and families. This role encompasses comprehensive case management processes, including assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of individual and family needs to ensure a holistic and survivor-centered approach.
Job Responsibilities
The Case Manager will be responsible for handling all types of referred cases internally and externally, in line with established SOPs and referral pathways. The role includes comprehensive case management using the six essential steps, ensuring timely, ethical, and survivor/child-centered service. The case manager will also contribute to awareness, coordination, and capacity-building efforts within JOHUD’s protection programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cases in accordance with national SOPs and referral pathways.
- Conduct case assessments, develop individualized service plans, and ensure appropriate follow-up and closure.
- Apply guiding principles in working with children and survivors, ensuring confidentiality and prioritizing best interests.
- Prioritize cases based on risk and urgency, and ensure quality documentation of all case management activities.
- Work closely with JOHUD teams and external actors to provide safe, coordinated, and effective referrals.
- Coordinate with service providers and maintain an updated service mapping to facilitate access to resources.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with children and survivors from diverse backgrounds.
- Train and support families and caregivers in relation to protection and coping mechanisms.
- Advocate for beneficiaries’ rights and access to services, and contribute to the creation of community-based protection mechanisms.
- Support awareness-raising, team learning, and coordination efforts related to CP and GBV.
- Participate in data collection, reporting, and evaluation processes.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the team leader and contribute to internal and donor reporting as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
- Previous experience in working with survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) or in Child Protection (CP) and dealing with people with disability is preferred. The Case Manager must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with core competencies in active listening, observation, trust-building, and respectful engagement with survivors of all ages, backgrounds, and diversities. This ensures that each beneficiary receives tailored, holistic care aligned with their specific needs, thereby contributing directly to the project’s overarching goal of inclusive and person-centered support for individuals with disabilities.
- Strong grasp of Protection principles, showcasing survivor-centered and respectful attitudes, as well as a steadfast belief in gender equality. Exhibit knowledge of safeguarding against sexual exploitation and abuse.
- Show knowledge, respect, and empathy toward the communities with which we engage.
- Fluency in Arabic and good skills in English
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
