Job Summary
The ـJunior Accountant at Alissar Flowers will support the finance team in managing the day-to-day accounting
tasks. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial records, performing routine accounting duties, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis.
Role And Responsibilities
Financial
Accounting Support
- Participate in the month-end closing process by preparing accruals, adjusting entries,
- reconciling accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and other necessary adjustments.
- Handle payroll processing, petty cash, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure compliance with reporting and procedural standards.
- Maintain financial databases and software systems, along with manual filing systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Alpha Systems.
- Support in the development of the annual operating budget.
- Review daily cash flows, ensuring accuracy and correct entries.
- Monitor COGs and escalate as needed for proper intervention.
Compliance
& Administrative Support
- Stay current with tax laws, banking regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and coordinate with government entities for tax and licensing matters.
- Provide administrative support for the efficient operation of the department.
Communication & Collaboration
- Collaborate with all departments on accounting policies and system implementation.
- Manage external stakeholder relationships for collections and receivables follow-up.
- Coordinate with HR regarding employee payables and salary transactions
- Communicate effectively and seek guidance from the senior accountant as needed.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or
related field.
Experience: Experience: 1-2 years of relevant accounting
Experience Preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Key Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
