Job Vacancy: General Accountant
A leading accounting and auditing firm located in Amman, Jordan, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated General Accountant to join our professional team. We are specifically looking for a candidate who has gained their core accounting experience working inside commercial and industrial companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations for clients and ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Handle accounting functions related to industrial and commercial client operations, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and supply chain financials.
- Monitor accounts receivable/payable and follow up on aging reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/annual financial statements, closing procedures, and tax filings.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of solid, proven experience in general accounting.
- Essential: Previous corporate experience working directly within Industrial and Commercial companies.
- High proficiency in using professional accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver accurate financial reports on time.
