On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Plant Manager who is responsible for the overall management of plant operations, covering production, maintenance, and factory projects. The role ensures operational efficiency, safety, quality, cost control, and alignment with business and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, and projects, ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures.
- Execute monthly and weekly production plans based on stock levels and sales requirements, in coordination with the demand planning team.
- Develop and manage the annual plant budget and production plan aligned with plant capacity.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to achieve optimal results, while developing processes that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Implement operational strategies and develop the factory master plan in alignment with corporate strategic initiatives, providing clear direction and focus.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify improvement opportunities, eliminate bottlenecks, and reduce time and product waste.
- Ensure strict adherence to plant safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
- Track and optimize productivity, standards, KPIs, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Increase production output, asset capacity, and operational flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain full accountability for production output, product quality, and on-time delivery.
- Review major operational issues, lead troubleshooting activities, guide Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Operators, and take decisive action during plant or production problems.
- Prepare, review, and present monthly production reports to management.
- Monitor plant and machinery performance, including breakdowns and maintenance issues.
- Lead factory projects and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Participate in and contribute to management meetings, leadership forums, NPD reviews, financial reviews, and S&OP meetings.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Technology or Production Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing a food production plant.
- Strong knowledge of general food manufacturing, preferably within beverage and dairy production.
- Proven experience managing both Production and Maintenance functions, with two departments reporting directly (each led by its own manager).
- Very good computer skills.
- English language proficiency is mandatory.
