Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading the Avionics team within the hangar operational environment. This role ensures the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance in all avionics maintenance, repair, and modification activities. The Avionics Manager provides technical leadership, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Avionics team in the hangar, ensuring all maintenance and modification activities meet regulatory and company standards.
- Oversee daily workflow, resource allocation, and scheduling for avionics projects to achieve Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements for all avionics work.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, modeling secure practices and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Identify and implement performance and cost improvement initiatives within the Avionics function.
- Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of avionics work with overall maintenance operations including attendance at pre-input meetings
- Provide technical guidance and decision-making support on complex avionics issues.
- Ensure all avionics tooling, equipment, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) are maintained and utilized correctly.
- Participate in investigations of incidents involving avionics systems, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Avionics team members, supporting professional growth and succession planning.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation in avionics processes and practices.
- Support environmental protection initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the SVP Operations.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering or any related field.
- Holder of valid B2 (EASA/CARC) license.
- Minimum 10–15 years in avionics maintenance with at least 3–5 years in supervisory/management roles.
- Accredited certificates or courses in Aircraft maintenance, PMP, lean six sigma is a plus.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic foresight to anticipate future challenges and embed a proactive, delivery-focused culture.
- High level of self-awareness, with the confidence to seek support and feedback when needed.
- Proven commitment to customer excellence, with insight into the key drivers of customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Joramco’s integrated business systems and processes, enabling efficient coordination and execution of operational tasks.
