At EFS Facilities Services, we are looking for a highly experienced and proactive QHSE Manager to lead quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance across our project operations in Jordan. This role is critical in ensuring safe working environments, regulatory compliance, operational risk mitigation, and adherence to client and company QHSE standards across all sites and operational activities.
🔍 Role Overview
The QHSE Manager will be responsible for driving a strong safety culture and ensuring full compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across project operations. This role requires a hands-on QHSE professional with strong expertise in risk management, incident prevention, compliance audits, environmental sustainability, and operational safety leadership in dynamic, high-risk environments such as facilities management, waste management, logistics, construction, or industrial operations.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) activities across project operations to ensure safe and compliant working environments
- Develop, implement, and monitor QHSE policies, procedures, standards, and operational controls in line with legal, client, and company requirements
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, job safety analysis (JSA), and control measures to proactively mitigate operational risks
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, client requirements, and internal governance frameworks
- Lead incident reporting, root cause analysis, investigations, corrective actions, and preventive action implementation
- Conduct regular QHSE audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and safety observations across sites and operational areas
- Monitor environmental compliance, waste handling practices, pollution prevention initiatives, and sustainability-related controls
- Drive implementation and maintenance of ISO standards, including quality, occupational health & safety, and environmental management systems
- Develop and deliver QHSE training, toolbox talks, inductions, emergency drills, and awareness programs for employees and contractors
- Monitor safety KPIs, incident trends, audit findings, and compliance reports, and provide actionable recommendations to management
- Ensure proper emergency preparedness, crisis response planning, and business continuity support across project operations
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders on QHSE matters and compliance requirements
- Support mobilization projects, client audits, certification programs, and operational readiness from a QHSE perspective
- Promote a proactive safety culture and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational safety and quality standards
- Lead and mentor QHSE teams, ensuring high performance, accountability, and compliance excellence
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years of QHSE experience, preferably in waste management, facilities management, construction, logistics, industrial operations, or other high-risk field environments
- Strong expertise in health & safety compliance, risk assessments, incident investigation, and environmental management
- Proven experience in implementing and managing QHSE management systems and compliance frameworks
- Hands-on experience conducting audits, inspections, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and compliance reporting
- Strong understanding of occupational health & safety legislation, environmental regulations, and international best practices
- Experience leading safety training, workforce awareness programs, and operational safety culture initiatives
- Strong analytical, reporting, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced, operationally intensive, and multi-site environments
🎓 Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or equivalent QHSE certifications are highly preferred
