Position Objectives
Lead and manage Inventory Management SME activities for the telecom project, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, scalability, and successful project delivery.
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Inventory Management SME operational and technical activities
- Support IMS procurement, testing, and acceptance
- Support the integration of the IMS system with other systems
- Support system upgrades and ensure IMS functionality throughout program life and beyond
- Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders and provide IMS technical guidance
- Ensure compliance with telecom industry standards, project governance, and operational procedures
- Review program progress and ensure that asset inventory recording is functional and that assets are recorded accurately and on time
- Prepare technical reports, dashboards, presentations, and management updates
- Support planning, implementation, testing, optimization, and handover activities
- Conduct risk assessments and support issue resolution and escalation management
- Participate in technical reviews, audits, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
- Support process improvement, automation, and operational excellence initiatives
- Provide technical guidance and coordination support to cross-functional teams
Qualification and Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a relevant field.
- Minimum 5–15 years of relevant telecom, infrastructure, operations, or project management experience
- Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, operations, governance, and service delivery environments
- Experience working with telecom operators, vendors, system integrators, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred
- Strong communication, reporting, stakeholder management, and coordination skills
- Experience with PMO, reporting tools, operational dashboards, and telecom systems is an advantage
- Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CCNP, CISSP, or PRINCE2
