Job: Assistant Portfolio Manager - Investment

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and assist in managing and identifying risks across portfolios to ensure alignment with investment guidelines and propose actions to improve performance to management.
- Create regular reports on investment performance and activity.
- Report on market conditions and economic trends; prepare reports on the venture industry outlook.
- Collect portfolio financial information, KPIs, and impact metrics.
- Serve as the focal point of contact between the Fund and its portfolio entities.
- Receive, evaluate, and process requests from portfolio entities and recommend appropriate actions to management.
- Draft and compile memos for the investment committee regarding portfolio management issues.
- Build close relationships between the Fund and portfolio investments.
- Follow up on all recipient applications for disbursement and liaise with the appropriate department to ensure the timely disbursement of approved funds.
- Ensure that all conditions precedent have been fulfilled on a timely basis prior to fund disbursement.
- Oversee portfolio progress to ensure satisfactory completion of contractual provisions.
- Assist in providing input for the preparation of the annual operating budget for the Investment Department and support its implementation in Information & Reporting.
- Support due diligence and review of investment requests.
- Prepare periodic reports on disbursement levels and forecasts.
- Prepare quarterly and annual portfolio reports for review by management.
- Build and maintain financial models, supporting the generation of reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure ongoing knowledge of industry trends and regulations to maintain effectiveness and compliance.
- Continuously follow up on investment updates related to investment requests and ensure adherence and communication across the organization.
- Perform any other related duties and tasks deemed necessary by the direct manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, with 3–5 years in venture capital, private equity, banking, fund management, or financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, portfolio tracking, due diligence, and KPI analysis.
- High capacity to conduct independent research and analysis, identify problems, and propose solutions or recommendations.
- Strong ability to demonstrate sound risk management judgment in an investment environment.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
