Job Overview
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for leading the preparation of timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports while overseeing group-level consolidation activities. This role ensures the integrity and consistency of financial data across multiple entities, drives improvements in reporting processes, and provides advanced financial analysis to support strategic decision-making at the group level. The senior analyst will partner closely with subsidiaries, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional finance teams to enhance reporting quality, ensure full compliance with IFRS, and contribute to planning, budgeting, and audit processes.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with 7+ years in financial reporting, consolidation, or accounting preferably with an audit experience within group or multi-entity environments. They possess strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in IFRS, and demonstrate the ability to lead reporting cycles with minimal supervision. They combine attention to detail with a strategic mindset, are highly proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel, and are comfortable managing complex data across multiple entities. The candidate takes initiative, drives continuous improvement, and communicates confidently with senior stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of group consolidated financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and alignment with IFRS.
- Oversee and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely submission of high-quality financial results.
- Review, analyze, and validate financial statements from subsidiaries, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to reporting guidelines.
- Prepare and present advanced variance analysis, highlighting key performance drivers and providing actionable insights to management.
- Monitor capital expenditures against approved budgets and support strategic CAPEX planning discussions.
- Act as a key point of contact for subsidiaries, providing guidance on reporting requirements, accounting treatments, and group policies.
- Lead the preparation of audit schedules and manage communications with internal and external auditors.
- Provide technical accounting support, interpret updates to IFRS, and advise the wider finance team on implications.
- Drive financial analysis initiatives, identifying performance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles by providing historical data, analytical input, and reviewing proposed budgets from subsidiaries.
- Contribute to process enhancement initiatives to improve the efficiency and accuracy of reporting and consolidation activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, or accounting preferably with audit experience within a group or multi-entity environment.
- Deep understanding of IFRS and hands-on experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or Diploma in IFRS are highly preferred.
