Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Enhance the financial planning & Reporting quality and process to support the Bank wide strategies and business plans, through the active management and participation in the implementation and rollout of Financial reporting & MIS systems, ensure reliability and integrity & timeliness of the MIS reports, and enhance the bank data quality integrity and consistency through managing data quality and automation projects in the bank.
- Managing the consolidation of functional budgets, forecasts and 3 Year plan and developing the overall AB Group budget, forecast and 3 Year plan within set timelines and amending it as and when needed.
- Managing and coordinating with the relevant parties the collection of required data for annual budget exercise as well as any revisions thereafter in a timely manner while meeting the preset quality standards.
- Ensuring the relevance, completeness and reliability of all data received.
- Implementing tools for financial performance monitoring and delivering a complete and accurate set of financial reports
- Manage the budging and reporting process for the Group . This includes published financials, managerial reporting, EPMO and Non EPMO Capital expenditure. And provide timely and insightful executive summary for the Group Capex .
- Manages the production of the Group Budget. And work on Add hoc financial reports and projects.
- Working closely with all stakeholders to monitor and enhance controls around the capital expenditures and EPMO.
- Understanding the bank business scope to identify the Finance systems/ systems sponsored by Finance / accountancy systems requirements and participate in selecting systems and IT solutions.
- Participate in the selection and implementation of MIS solutions across the Bank in conjunction with other concerned parties.
- Identify and Manage financial reporting and budgeting systems related Projects.
- Evaluate Finance systems projects initiatives and develop business cases.
- Oversee that MIS requirements are met by using cutting edge methodologies through niche technologies with the least cost and best results to ensure satisfaction of the users.
- Recommend improvements to current Finance / accountancy systems and business process design, and help in development and implementation of the recommendations.
- Support Finance Heads by working as subject matter expert to formulate formal initiation of new ideas / projects related to systems and processes and work as a main contact person between all stake holders.
- Manage key project management processes including, planning, change control, issue and risk management, monitoring and control of Finance systems projects, cost management to support Project Leaders / Sponsors / Steering committees.
- Develop and execute a plan of Finance systems projects assurance to include follow up of any exceptions raised to ensure the effective delivery of the projects..
- Manage the preparation of various progress and MIS reports for sponsors and steering committee including consolidated progress reports, resource utilization and allocation reports, budgetary analysis, and risks assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAIDs) reports.
- Lead and provide guidance and development to assigned staff and encourage individual development.
- Developing delivery reports that support the strategic decision makers to enhance understanding of performance and profitability.
- Managing finance consolidation system (Cognos Controller).
- Managing User Access Management Policy for Finance.
- Developing, driving and leading a standardized and comprehensive overall forecasting process and business plan for the Arab Bank Group.
- Lead and supervise forecast revisions and reflect amendments and changes on the overall bank’s forecast.
- Develop and implement reporting and monitoring tools for measuring performance of the Group entities.
- Managing, Controlling and reporting on financial KPI’s such as LTD, Return on equity , return on assets and efficiency ratio.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- MBA or B.A. in Finance or accounting degree from a recognized university, CMA and relevant professional certificates are preferable.
Experience:
- A minimum of 12-15 years in Finance with an international bank.
