Overview
The Finance Manager will lead and manage the hospital’s entire financial operations, ensuring strong financial governance, efficient budgeting, and accurate reporting. The role focuses on optimizing revenue cycle performance, maintaining financial compliance, supporting strategic decision-making, and enabling long-term financial sustainability for the hospital. The position requires hands-on leadership in financial planning, auditing, cost control, procurement support, and health information system (HIS) financial modules.
Location - Basra, Iraq.
Package -$4500/month
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Strategy
- Develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with hospital objectives.
- Provide executive leadership with financial insights, cost analyses, and risk assessments.
- Present monthly and quarterly financial results to management and ownership.
Financial Operations & Compliance
- Oversee internal controls, financial audits, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow, profitability, and financial KPIs.
Revenue Cycle Management
- Lead billing, insurance claims, coding validation, reimbursements, and collections.
- Ensure revenue integrity and streamline payment cycles.
- Oversee accurate pricing, service charge capture, and denial management.
Cost Optimization & Resource Management
- Implement cost-saving measures and improve expense control.
- Support procurement with financial reviews, vendor negotiations, and contract assessments.
- Lead feasibility studies for new services, equipment purchases, or expansions.
Systems, Reporting & Automation
- Lead HIS/ERP financial module implementation and ensure accuracy of system transactions.
- Automate key financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7–10 years of financial management experience in a hospital or healthcare organization.
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle operations (billing, claims, coding, collections).
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost control.
- Expertise in ERP/HIS financial modules and financial automation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High level of integrity, analytical capability, and decision-making skills.
