Health Educator
Coordinate and implement patient education activities, including, breastfeeding presentations, manual instructions on insulin injections, and nutritional importance.
Provide patients with advice on specific medical problems such as diabetes, cardiac and respiratory aid.
Assess and analyze the patient's needs and concerns and identify appropriate educational activities.
Provide patients with information on their diagnosis and treatment, in a clear and understandable manner.
Guide patients towards desired outcome, evaluate performance, and follow-up on progress.
Provide constructive feedback on patient’s performance and improved practices.
Support and assist the multidisciplinary team, in recognizing patient’s issues and misinterpretations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a specialization in Health Education.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and/or Midwifery with an accredited certification in Health Education.
Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field with an accredited certification in Health Education.
A valid professional license.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant clinical service, specifically in a certified Health Education role.
