Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman for an Odoo Accounting Implementer. The role involves analyzing clients’ accounting and financial processes, gathering requirements, and configuring Odoo accounting modules to align with local and regional regulations. The Odoo Accounting Implementer will migrate and validate financial data, set up charts of accounts, taxes, and fiscal positions, and ensure accurate integrations with other Odoo modules such as sales, inventory, and projects. Daily tasks include testing and troubleshooting system configurations, preparing documentation, and training end users on accounting workflows and best practices within Odoo. The role also requires ongoing support, collaborating with consultants and technical teams, and contributing to continuous improvement of implementation methodologies.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including general ledger, budgeting, financial reporting, and tax concepts.
- Hands-on experience implementing or configuring Odoo (or similar ERP) accounting modules, including chart of accounts setup, invoicing, payments, and bank reconciliation.
- Skills in business process analysis and documentation, with the ability to translate client requirements into system configurations and workflows.
- Competence in data migration, basic SQL or database concepts, and testing configured solutions to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills, including the ability to conduct training sessions, provide user support, and collaborate in cross-functional project teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering measurable client outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; professional accounting certifications are an advantage.
- Experience with ERP implementations in the MENA region and familiarity with local financial and tax regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are highly beneficial.
