The Internal Sales Engineer will handle incoming customer inquiries, prepare and follow up on quotations, and assist showroom visitors. The role connects customers with the sales and procurement teams to ensure accurate offers, timely responses, and professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quotation Preparation and Follow-Up
* Prepare sales quotations based on pricing, technical specifications, availability, and delivery information provided by the Procurement Department.
* Ensure quotations accurately reflect customer requirements and include the correct products, quantities, commercial terms, and supporting technical documents.
* Obtain the required internal approval before sending quotations to customers.
* Follow up on submitted quotations, answer customer questions, and coordinate revisions with procurement and the Sales Manager.
* Record quotation status, customer feedback, and reasons for won or lost opportunities in the CRM.
2. Customer Inquiry Management
* Handle inquiries received through the website, telephone, WhatsApp, and email.
* Clarify customer requirements, including the application, specifications, quantities, and required delivery date.
* Check stock availability and confirm whether suitable products are available.
* Refer unavailable items and requests requiring sourcing or technical clarification to the Procurement Department.
* Communicate confirmed availability, proposed alternatives, and delivery estimates to customers.
* Maintain follow-up until each inquiry is resolved or converted into an order.
3. Showroom Sales and Customer Support
* Welcome showroom visitors and identify their requirements.
* Present suitable products and explain their main features and applications within the limits of available technical information.
* Coordinate with the relevant engineer when specialist advice or product demonstrations are needed.
* Prepare quotations for showroom customers and follow up on their purchasing decisions.
* Keep product displays, price labels, brochures, and showroom information organized and current.
4. Website and Product Information Support
* Monitor website inquiries and direct them into the sales follow-up process.
* Support updates to product descriptions, specifications, images, and availability using approved information.
* Coordinate with the responsible team to correct outdated or inaccurate website content.
5. Order Coordination and Recordkeeping
* Review customer purchase orders against approved quotations and highlight any discrepancies before order confirmation.
* Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and delivery teams to support order processing and fulfillment.
* Keep customers informed of confirmed order progress and delivery arrangements.
* Maintain accurate customer records, inquiries, quotations, orders, and follow-up activities in the CRM.
* Provide the Sales Manager with regular updates on pending inquiries, outstanding quotations, and sales opportunities.

Authority and Coordination
The Internal Sales Engineer prepares and communicates offers using approved technical and commercial information. Supplier sourcing and purchasing remain the responsibility of the Procurement Department. Discounts, technical deviations, and exceptional commercial commitments require approval in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Preferably 1–3 years of experience in internal sales, technical sales support, or customer service for industrial products.
* Ability to understand technical specifications and translate customer requirements into clear quotation requests.
* Strong communication and customer service skills in Arabic and English.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up discipline.
* Familiarity with industrial tools, machinery, hydraulic equipment, lifting equipment, or welding products is an advantage.
