Role Description The Senior Technical Support Specialist – Office Automation is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman. This position is responsible for providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for office automation equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners, and archiving systems. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software issues, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with vendors or internal teams to ensure timely solutions. The specialist will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The role also involves mentoring junior support staff, documenting technical procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement of support processes and service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for office automation and related IT systems.
- Proven Customer Support and Customer Satisfaction focus, with the ability to manage client expectations and build long-term relationships.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for diagnosing complex issues and recommending effective, long-term solutions.
- More than 25 years of relevant experience in office automation, imaging, or printing technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of printers, copiers, scanners, and archiving solutions; experience with Canon or similar brands is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficiency in basic IT networking concepts and integration of office equipment into digital workflows.
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
