Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Manage periodical and ad hoc Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations for various AB Group entities according to the approved IFRS 9 Methodologies, Policies, and Procedures.
- Manage data sourcing activities, including data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of data needed for ECL calculations.
- Assume ownership for the implemented models and systems for the ECL calculations, and provide an expert support and guidance to various users groups from different business lines at Head Office and in the Countries.
- Assume a leading role in various IFRS 9 models validation and audit activities in coordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct awareness and training sessions on the implemented IFRS 9 methodologies, models, and systems for various groups in the bank.
- Monitor models’ behavior, and perform necessary adjustments and fine tuning on various parameters and settings in collaboration with the other concerned parties in the bank as well as the consultants and support staff from the models’ vendors side.
- Keep track of changes on the ECL methodologies related to various AB Group entities, and ensure they are properly implemented in the ECL calculation models and systems.
- Conduct ECL related analysis and MIS reporting and present it to the bank management for decision making.
- Providing advanced detailed analytical, insightful ECL dashboards and reports to the top management.
- Delivery of IFRS 9 related reports needed for financial disclosures and regulatory and management reporting.
- Prepare test cases and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems and applications or enhancements on existing systems and application.
- Support development, maintenance and delivery of Standard Global Credit & IRS9 Reports and Dashboards, Credit Risk Forecasting Tools–scenario analysis, early alerts.
- Project support including but not limited to the below:
- (1) prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
- (2) Develop test cases and perform User Acceptability Tests (UAT).
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or any related field from a recognized university.
- Recognized relevant certificates preferred.
Experience:
- 3 years of related experience with a leading bank or consulting firm.
Competencies:
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Advanced mathematical & analytical skills
- Strong background in credit and accounting
- Excellent interpersonal and group oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong work discipline and ability to work under pressure
- Advanced working knowledge of OLAP and BI tools
- Good working knowledge of office tools
