About the Role
A leading company in the Construction & Manufacturing sector is seeking a qualified Internal Financial Auditor to join its team.
The role will be responsible for evaluating financial and operational controls, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits of financial records, transactions, processes, and controls.
- Review accounting and financial procedures to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness.
- Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, cash, and other financial activities.
- Perform reconciliations and analytical reviews where required.
- Prepare detailed audit findings, reports, and recommendations for management.
- Follow up on previously identified audit findings and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Support investigations into financial discrepancies or irregularities when required.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments to improve processes and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Financial Audit, or Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and audit procedures.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, contracting, or similar industries is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and risks.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, SOCPA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.
