Position Objective:
Ensure effective cost planning, monitoring, and control across all project phases to maintain alignment with approved budgets. Provide accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decisions. Strengthen financial governance by validating quantities, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliance with client and internal financial processes. Enhance cost visibility through structured reporting, dashboards, and data-driven insights while supporting continuous improvement initiatives through cost trend analysis, productivity tracking, and financial KPI monitoring.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets (CAPEX/OPEX) across OSP, ISP, DC, and Exchange domains.
- Track actual costs, commitments, and forecasts to ensure alignment with approved budgets and financial targets.
- Conduct cost variance analysis, trend analysis, and earned value analysis (EVA) to identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Validate quantities, BOQs, and contractor submissions before invoicing to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Monitor contractor cost performance, productivity, and resource utilization to ensure alignment with project budgets and financial expectations.
- Review and analyze change requests, scope variations, and route modifications to assess financial impact and cost implications.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc cost reports for internal management and client stakeholders.
- Maintain cost databases, dashboards, and financial models using Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.
- Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities across all project phases.
- Coordinate with procurement, contracts, material management, and project controls teams to ensure cost alignment and data consistency.
- Track material costs, warehouse inventory value, and asset capitalization to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with client financial processes, invoicing requirements, and audit standards.
- Support system updates, data integrity checks, and financial audits to ensure accuracy across ERP systems and client portals.
- Identify cost risks, financial gaps, and discrepancies and support mitigation and corrective actions.
- Provide executive-level summaries, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing cost control processes, reporting automation, and financial governance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in cost control, project controls, or financial management within telecom or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of CAPEX/OPEX planning, cost control methodologies, and financial reporting practices.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, client portals, and financial databases.
- Proficiency in Power BI, advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, formulas, and data modeling, along with other data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly present financial data and insights.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict project deadlines.
- Experience within telecom OSP/ISP environments is considered a strong advantage.
