Associate Manager- Projects | MAF Retail | Head Office Jordan
Role Summary
To lead the design and execution of mechanical systems for new store openings, remodels and maintenance projects across the retail networks, combining technical expertise with project management skills. This role ensures that HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems are designed efficiently and implemented on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and sustainability standards.
ROLE PROFILE
- Develop initial mechanical design concepts for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Perform feasibility studies and load calculations to determine system requirements.
- Design ductwork, piping and ventilation systems ensuring optimal airflow and energy efficiency.
- Incorporate sustainability principles and energy-efficient solutions into designs.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications for tendering.
- Collaborate with architects, civil and electrical engineers to resolve design conflicts.
- Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness without compromising quality or performance.
- Conduct design audits and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7-8 years in mechanical design and project management, preferably in retail or commercial projects.
- Leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams.
