JOB PURPOSE
The Control and Reporting Supervisor – Group supports the Control and Reporting Manager in executing Group-level costing, fixed assets control, and financial reporting activities from the Amman Shared Services Center.
The role focuses on detailed analysis, monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting tasks across subsidiaries to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with Group policies and IFRS standards.
The position also supports year-end audit preparation and coordination under the supervision of the Control and Reporting Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Costing Support and Analysis
▪ Assist in maintaining standardized costing methodologies across subsidiaries.
▪ Perform detailed cost analysis including material, labor, and overhead variances.
▪ Support review of BOM structures and overhead allocations.
▪ Prepare profitability and margin analysis reports.
▪ Assist subsidiaries in cost allocation and cost tracking processes within ERP systems.
▪ Maintain costing models and analytical reports.
2. Fixed Assets Control
▪ Maintain and review fixed asset registers across subsidiaries.
▪ Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and disposal entries.
▪ Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers with general ledger balances.
▪ Support periodic physical verification exercises.
▪ Prepare fixed asset schedules and analysis reports.
▪ Arrangements related to fixed asset count.
3. Financial Reporting Support
▪ Collect financial data from subsidiaries related to costing, inventory, and fixed assets.
▪ Prepare reporting schedules and working papers for Group consolidation purposes.
▪ Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
▪ Perform analytical reviews and highlight variances to the Control and Reporting Manager.
4. Year-End Audit Support
▪ Prepare audit schedules related to fixed assets, inventory, and costing.
▪ Compile required documentation and reconciliations for external auditors.
▪ Respond to audit queries under the guidance of the Control and Reporting Manager.
▪ Ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documents before submission.
5. Compliance and Process Support
▪ Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies and internal control procedures.
▪ Assist in improving costing and asset control processes.
▪ Support ERP reporting enhancements.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- CMA, CPA, ACCA, DipIFR is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting or related roles.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or industrial environment is mandatory.
- Experience in a multi-entity or group environment is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of costing and fixed asset accounting.
- Good understanding of IFRS standards related to PPE and inventory.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP B1 experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work remotely and coordinate with multiple subsidiaries.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Ability to meet reporting and audit deadlines.
- Work under pressure.
