The Business Development & Sales Director provides strategic leadership to drive revenue growth and market expansion for JRF products and services. The role oversees retail, wholesale, corporate sales, and e-commerce channels, ensuring strong brand positioning, effective market penetration, and sustainable commercial performance locally and internationally. The Director will lead sales strategy, develop new markets and partnerships, and ensure operational excellence across all sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Develop and implement the overall sales and business development strategy aligned with JRF’s mission and commercial objectives.
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams, partnerships, and market opportunities locally and internationally.
- Establish annual sales targets and growth plans across all channels.
2. Sales Channel Management
Oversee performance and expansion of:
- Retail sales (shops, exhibitions, events)
- Wholesale distribution (local and international retailers)
- Corporate & institutional sales (corporate gifts, bulk orders, partnerships)
- E-commerce platforms (online store and digital marketplaces)
- Ensure strong coordination and consistent performance across all channels.
3. Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new domestic and international markets.
- Build partnerships with retailers, distributors, and corporate clients.
- Represent JRF in trade fairs, exhibitions, and commercial events.
4. Brand & Product Positioning
- Ensure all sales activities align with JRF’s brand identity and social mission.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to strengthen product visibility and brand storytelling.
- Support the launch and promotion of new product lines.
5. Financial Performance
- Drive revenue growth while ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting to senior management.
- Forecast sales and manage budgets related to sales activities.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor sales and business development teams.
- Set performance targets and KPIs for sales staff.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer focus.
7. Customer & Partner Relations
- Develop strong relationships with corporate clients, retailers, and distributors.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field
- 15+ years of proven experience
- Experience in retail, product-based businesses, or social enterprises is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
