Director of Finance, Middle East

As part of our continued growth and regional consolidation, we are expanding our Finance leadership team in the Middle East, with this key appointment based in our Jordan office.
Role Overview
The Director of Finance, Middle East will be a strategic business partner and financial leader for our operations across the region. This position will oversee all financial management, planning, reporting, and compliance activities, ensuring the financial integrity and performance of the Middle East business.
A critical element of this role is ensuring full compliance and effective financial governance of our operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, requiring deep knowledge of Saudi accounting standards, zakat and tax regulations, and local commercial practices.
Working closely with the Regional VP of Sales & Operations, this role will provide commercial insight, business advice, and decision support to drive sustainable growth and profitability. The position will also maintain a close working relationship with HR to ensure alignment on workforce planning, compensation, and compliance matters across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Leadership
• Serve as the primary financial advisor and partner to the Regional VP of Sales & Operations for the Middle East.
• Contribute to regional strategic planning, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Provide financial and commercial insights to support business growth, pricing strategies, and new opportunities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial implications of operational and strategic decisions.
Financial Management & Reporting
• Lead all regional financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information in compliance with US GAAP for group reporting and IFRS (as adopted locally) for statutory reporting across the region, particularly in Saudi Arabia.
• Oversee reconciliation and alignment between US GAAP group reporting and IFRS-based local statutory reporting requirements.
• Monitor key financial metrics, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee regional cash flow management, capital allocation, and investment planning.
• Provide oversight of statutory accounting, filings, and compliance matters for the Group’s EMEA legal entities, working in coordination with local advisors where appropriate.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant legal, zakat, tax, and regulatory requirements across the Middle East, with particular accountability for Saudi Arabia.
• Oversee compliance with Saudi regulatory authorities and ensure adherence to IFRS as adopted by local standards.
• Liaise with auditors, legal advisors, and government authorities as needed.
• Maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks to safeguard company assets and reputation.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Lead and develop the finance team based in Jordan, fostering excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with the global finance organization to ensure consistency with group standards and policies.
• Work in partnership with the HR function to provide oversight and guidance on HR operations, payroll, workforce budgeting, and compensation governance.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.
• Minimum 12–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including significant senior-level accounting experience within Saudi Arabia.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with demonstrated experience in US GAAP group reporting and IFRS statutory reporting frameworks.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise in Saudi zakat and tax regulations, statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, and commercial practices.
• Experience within the IT services, technology, or related professional services industries is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with commercial and operational leaders.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both oral and written.
