We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Head of Finance to lead our finance organization and drive financial planning, reporting, and control processes. The ideal candidate will partner with executive leadership to shape financial strategy, ensure robust financial governance, and support growth initiatives. This role requires strong technical finance expertise, proven leadership, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities - Finance Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Lead financial strategy: Develop and execute financial plans that align with company goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.
- Oversee financial reporting: Ensure the timely preparation of accurate financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Manage close and consolidation: Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation activities.
- Drive forecasting and analysis: Lead scenario planning, variance analysis, and financial modeling to inform strategic decisions and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance & controls: Maintain and enhance internal control frameworks, oversee audits, tax compliance, and regulatory filings, and mitigate financial risk.
- Lead and develop the finance team: Build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and financial operations; set performance goals and foster professional development.
- Optimize cash & capital management: Oversee treasury functions, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital initiatives.
- Support funding & transactions: Lead financial due diligence, investor reporting, fundraising, and M&A activities as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders: Collaborate with product, operations, HR, and legal to align financial plans with business priorities and operational initiatives.
- Implement process improvements: Drive automation, system enhancements, and process standardization to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Required Qualifications - Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in senior finance leadership roles, ideally in a fast-growing corporate or technology environment.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial planning & analysis, treasury, tax, and audit processes.
- Proven experience leading month-end/quarter-end/year-end close, consolidations, and external audits.
- Strong proficiency with ERP and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel; experience with FP&A and consolidation tools preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and mentor diverse teams, influence cross-functionally, and present to executive leadership and boards.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications - Certifications & Tools
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience with ERP implementations, financial system integrations, and automation initiatives.
- Prior experience with fundraising, investor relations, or M&A transactions is a plus.
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics, subscription revenue recognition (ASC 606), and multicurrency financial management preferred for global businesses.
