Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Project Manager – Healthcare to lead the multidisciplinary design of hospitals, medical centers, and other healthcare facilities.
In this role, you will manage the full design lifecycle—from early concept and planning through detailed design and coordination—ensuring delivery excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong client engagement.
You will work closely with healthcare planners, architects, engineers, and specialists to transform client needs into world-class healthcare environments.
- Lead and manage the design process of large-scale healthcare projects, including clinical system implementations, facility upgrades and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clinicians and executives, to define project scope, goals, vision and deliverables, and authorities.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee the preparation of design drawings and specifications.
- Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and adhere to healthcare compliance standards (e.g., FGI, IHFG, HBN, JCI).
- Conduct Site visits as needed for site reconnaissance.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members in their professional development.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, master's degree is preferred.
- Licensed Architect preferred.
- 20+ years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Demonstrated experience leading healthcare design projects of varying sizes and complexities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with sustainable design principles is a plus.
- PMP accreditation is preferable.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, primavera…).
- Proficiency with Revit and BIM.
