We are looking for a talented Project Manager, R&D to join us. Key Responsibilities:
- Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of R&D PMO activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost- effective service to customers.
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the R&D PMO section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
- Plans complex project programs by integrating and linking the engineering, research/development, regulatory, quality, clinical and other activities to meet required business and financial goals.
- Reviews current workloads, financial objectives, regulatory strategy and resource availability to create realistic project timelines.
- Ensures that cross-functional processes are defined and implemented to achieve effective execution of the drug development process leading to new product introductions across the markets.
- Prepares and manages risk/issues assessment logs to recommend mitigation plans.
- Escalate issues/critical events to facilitate prompt attention/resolution.
- Facilitate communication between departments as necessary to ensure project/program transparency.
- Encourages discussions between subject matter experts to gain consensus and move projects forward.
- Creates and issues purchase requisitions as needed to support the assigned project.
- Manages Change Controls as appropriate to bring in new materials, parts and other items as necessary.
- Creates component/API and other forecasts needed to support the project, regulatory strategy and R&D development plans.
- Issues program meeting minutes following each meeting to capture decisions and action items.
- Re-forecasts project budget for each reforecast period to align spending with project status.
- Organises and supervises the activities to ensure that all work within a specific area of R&D PMO activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner (May supervise a small team of subordinates).
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering “international best practice”, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Prepares departmental reports of R&D PMO timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates whose experience and skills align closely with the qualifications outlined below:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering)
- MBA and/or masters are preferred.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in biopharmaceutical industry with at least 1 year in project management.
