Role Overview
The Social Media Senior Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day strategy, execution, and performance of social media campaigns across multiple clients. This position combines strategic thinking, creative direction, and operational excellence, ensuring that every social initiative is insight-driven, on-brand, and aligned with client business goals. The Senior Manager mentors social team and coordinates with creative, strategy, and media teams to deliver outstanding social results.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee social media strategies that align with clients’ marketing objectives and brand positioning.
- Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations that drive engagement, growth, and conversions.
- Ensure all social strategies integrate seamlessly with broader digital and campaign strategies.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and guide creative teams in developing content ideas that resonate with target audiences.
- Supervise and mentor Social Media teams.
- Review content calendars, briefs, and performance reports before client submission.
- Set clear goals, ensure quality control, and manage workload distribution within the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients on social-related matters.
- Present social media strategies, content directions, and performance results confidently and clearly.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively suggest innovative ideas, trends, and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate closely with Account Management to ensure strategic alignment and timely delivery.
- Oversee content production, ensuring all visuals, captions, and concepts meet brand and campaign standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current social trends, platform updates, and audience behaviors.
- Encourage experimentation with new formats (Reels, TikTok trends, UGC, etc.) to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Monitor performance metrics across all platforms and ensure consistent tracking and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, provide insights, and recommend improvements based on data.
- Ensure all reports deliver clear storytelling and strategic value to clients.
- Work closely with the Media, Creative, and Strategy departments to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
- Contribute to new business pitches, sharing insights and social strategy expertise.
Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in social media marketing, preferably within an agency environment.
- Strong understanding of all major social platforms, their algorithms, and emerging trends.
- Proven experience managing multiple brands and leading a team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Strong analytical thinking with experience using social analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.).
- Creative mindset with a sharp eye for storytelling and visual identity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
