Role Description
The Post-Closing Specialist plays a critical role in the mortgage loan process, ensuring that all loan documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards before being sold to investors. This position involves meticulous review, organization, and submission of loan files post-closing, as well as addressing any issues that may arise during the process.
Responsibilities And Duties
- 1. Document Review and Quality Control:
- Thoroughly review closed loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is present, signed, and properly executed.
- 2. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations affecting mortgage loan processing.
- Ensure all loan files adhere to regulatory and investor guidelines.
- Run automated reports to submit Closing Disclosure (CD) data to agencies
- 3. File Submission and Delivery:
- Prepare and deliver complete loan packages to investors, agencies, and warehouse lenders.
- Track and confirm the receipt of files by investors and address any discrepancies or missing items promptly.
- Process and manage FHA insurance requirements.
- Manage all warehouse loan shipments and investor deliveries post-trade, including conventional, jumbo, FHA, VA, DPA and any portfolio loans
- 4. Issue Resolution:
- Identify and resolve post-closing issues or deficiencies by coordinating with internal departments, external parties, and investors.
- Manage and track post-closing document corrections and follow-ups.
- Perform final balancing for select states and distribute post-consummation CDs to borrowers and support post-closing team lead with clearing conditions.
- Conduct online research to resolve discrepancies
- 5. Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and other relevant parties.
- Provide timely updates on the status of post-closing activities and escalate issues as necessary.
- Obtain final title policies and recorded deeds by coordinating with settlement agents.
- 6. Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain organized and accurate records of post-closing activities and document submissions.
- Generate and distribute reports on post-closing status, deficiencies, and resolutions.
Qualifications
- MUST be fluent English with advanced reading and writing skills.
- Preferred 2+ years of working experience in the financial sector (auditing, banking, customer service, administration, business, etc.) or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret complex regulatory documents and guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex concepts.
- Proficiency in mortgage origination software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM (Amman Time).
- The position involves remote collaboration with the U.S. team while working from the Amman office.
