Job Summary
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, maintaining accurate financial records, and supervising daily financial activities. This role provides strategic support in financial planning, budgeting, cost control, and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and cash flow analyses.
- Manage company budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with statutory tax requirements, including VAT and income tax.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting systems.
- Support decision-making with financial data and trend analysis.
- Participate in process improvements and digital transformation initiatives in the finance function.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA is preferred
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations in Jordan and KSA.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in the technology or IT services industry is a plus
