JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Reconciliation Services Specialist at Azadea's Business Services is responsible for providing professional accounting services and overseeing the operations of the reconciliation unit to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive and efficient end-to-end service to the group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the reconciliation of ARC balance sheet, ensuring timely and accurate information availability by reconciling accounts and managing the age of unreconciled items within established KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits, providing accurate and prompt information.
- Generate reports based on statistical and functional metrics such as balance sheet aged items, reconciliation progress, and status of unreconciled items. Enhance system efficiency to automate matching and reconciliation as per set schedules for timely review.
- Ensure compliance with cut-off dates, closure of general ledger accounts, and adjustments in line with the established period-end calendar.
- Conduct closing activities according to the schedule, and review management fees, royalties, and allocations based on existing agreements.
- Align accruals with contractual obligations, conduct monthly FX valuations, and ensure tax provisions adhere to regulations and procedures.
- Validate, review, and ensure the accuracy of financial data related to balance sheet reconciliation by identifying, investigating, and rectifying routine errors and anomalies in input data.
- Maintain clean and reconciled balance sheet accounts, keeping the company informed about its financial standing and enabling the production of statutory reports within legislative time limits.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, meeting internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and promptly addressing requests to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
LANGUAGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Language Skills
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in French is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance, or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus.
EXPERIENCE
Four to six years of experience in a similar role.
