Role Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Human Resources Supervisor to lead and oversee daily HR operations at our school in Amman, Jordan. This full-time, on-site role is critical in supporting the growth and culture of our organization by managing key HR functions, enforcing policy compliance, and mentoring junior HR staff.
The HR Supervisor will play a central role in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and HR process improvements—ensuring a compliant, efficient, and people-centric workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, in collaboration with department heads.
- Supervise and maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with labor regulations.
- Oversee attendance tracking, leave management, and HR-related reporting.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations and HR policy inquiries.
- Guide and support performance management cycles, training initiatives, and employee development plans.
- Monitor compliance with local labor laws and internal policies, recommending updates as needed.
- Accurately calculate gross wages, deductions (e.g., taxes, social security, insurance, retirement), and net pay according to local labor laws and internal policies.
- Coordinate closely with management and other departments on strategic HR matters.
- Mentor and support junior HR staff, ensuring consistency and quality in HR operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in HR, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of HR functions, local labor laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in the education sector or a similar environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS (Menaitech preferably) or HR software systems is an asset.
