Responsible for overseeing all accounting aspects of the office, including preparing and monitoring financial reports, organizing revenue and expense records, analyzing financial performance, and following up on revenue collections. The role includes linking accounting operations to employee performance and preparing periodic reports to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Accounting Management
• Prepare and update the chart of accounts in line with the office’s nature of activity.
• Record all daily accounting transactions (journal entries, invoices, payments, expenses).
• Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
• Review monthly bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
2. Revenue Collection
• Issue client invoices and follow up on collections.
• Prepare a monthly report of collections versus receivables.
• Coordinate with management and staff to encourage client payments.
3. Link with Employee Performance
• Link financial operations (projects, services, clients) to responsible employees.
• Prepare monthly performance reports for employees based on revenue tied to their tasks.
• Analyze productivity and profitability per employee or team.
4. Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Provide periodic financial reports to management (weekly/monthly/quarterly).
• Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results.
• Analyze profitability of clients and services.
5. Auditing & Compliance
• Prepare financial files for internal and external audits.
• Ensure proper and organized recordkeeping.
• Support annual audit and review procedures.
6. Administrative Cooperation
• Coordinate with HR regarding payroll and bonuses.
• Collaborate with Operations to understand and record project-related financial tasks.
• Provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles within consulting or audit firms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and ERP/Excel/Power BI.
• High analytical skills and ability to prepare detailed reports.
• Leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
