Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Controller & Data Entry Clerk to join our operations team. The role is responsible for performing accurate manual stock counts, verifying stock movements, reconciling receivables, and entering data into our systems to ensure inventory accuracy. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting smooth supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular physical stock counts in the warehouse and reconcile with system records.
- Verify and document incoming stock receipts and ensure accuracy against delivery documents.
- Check and verify all stock exiting the warehouse against invoices and delivery notes.
- Track discrepancies between physical stock and system data, and report variances promptly.
- Accurately enter stock data, adjustments, and transactions into the inventory management system.
- Reconcile receivables, verify returned goods, and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate closely with the warehouse team, sales team, and accounting department to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for all stock movements and inventory reports.
- Assist in periodic inventory audits and support external auditors during inventory checks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for inventory control.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or warehouse operations (preferably in FMCG or distribution sector).
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of inventory management systems (experience with ERP systems is a plus).
- Basic understanding of accounting and receivables processes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other office software.
- Physically able to conduct warehouse stock counts.
- FMCG distribution or logistics experience highly preferred.
