What ACES is Looking For?
ACES is looking for an Accountant to join our team in Amman Office.
Job Summary:
Perform professional accounting duties including the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation and verification of financial records; and performs related work as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, update and maintain accounting journals, ledger and other records detailing to suppliers and employees’ invoices and payments.
- Accountable for monthly reconciliation and account schedule for Intercompany, personal Advances, Inventory AP, Advances to supplier, Accruals, Suppliers accounts and other accounts.
- Prepare and post receipt voucher payment from client to Oracle system and allocate the payments against invoices.
- Ensure that the PO accurate and matched with the invoices along with the supporting documents.
- Verify the accuracy of all invoices from suppliers as directed by government tax authority, Accounting Standards and Management policy.
- Verify other accounting documents or records and analyze as directed for Workshop and Petty Cash.
- Create and update supplier and client profile in Oracle and LIMS
- Assist in internal and external requirements.
- Implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of available computer technology.
- Prepare and post accounting vouchers including Purchases and Bank Payment thru Credit Card.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing Intercompany transactions.
- Perform financial matters related to HR including and not limited to salary deductions, personal advanced payments, and monthly deduction follow up.
- Prepare Tax Credit Note and apply against invoice.
- Sign draft invoice in OMS/LIMS and transfer to Oracle System
- Ensure that the recording of the documents is complete and on time in conformity with the accounting standard, Government Tax Authority and Management policy.
- Assist in government certification such as ICV certification and others,
- Compliance with VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
- Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the management.
Reporting To:
This position will directly report to the Environmental Department Manager/ Section Head.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 0-2 years of experience in the field of accounting
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
- Understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and bookkeeping
- Familiarity with budgeting and basic financial planning
- Ability to prepare simple financial reports and summaries
- Basic understanding of banking procedures and reconciliations
- Accuracy in handling numbers, data entry, and calculations
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance (as applicable)
- Ability to follow internal controls and standard procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes
- Professionalism and sense of accountability
