We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, with demonstrated experience in preparing annual financial statements, VAT compliance, and ICV reporting. This role requires leadership ability to manage a small team, while maintaining a hands-on approach to daily accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage VAT filings and compliance in line with local regulations.
- Handle ICV (In-Country Value) reporting and ensure adherence to program guidelines.
- Supervise and support junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Ensure accuracy in general ledger entries, reconciliations, and closing activities.
- Communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proven experience in financial statement preparation and audit support.
- Strong understanding of VAT regulations and ICV programs.
- Ability to lead and motivate a small accounting team.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
