Job Title : Inventory Officer
Location : Amman, Jordan
Job Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Warehouse Operations
- Receive and inspect incoming items for the warehouse, ensuring they match purchase requests.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory area.
- Submit stagnancy and balance reports to the Inventory Manager.
- Monitor date-sensitive products for expiration and manage timely removal or transfer.
- Ensure top-moving items are always available.
- Track inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock (OOS) issues.
- File claims for defective products and take ownership to minimize product damage.
- Check stock against records and resolve quantity discrepancies.
- Assist the Category Management Department in setting up new products (e.g., creating product codes, verifying availability).
Process & Operations Improvement
- Review operational procedures and suggest improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate effectively with procurement and warehouse functions.
- Support order processing: respond to sales inquiries, analyze data for order quantities, and ensure timely fulfillment.
Reporting & Analysis
- Perform month-end duties including journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting schedules.
- Prepare and review monthly financial inventory reports with management.
- Track inventory accuracy, purchase and return rates, and defective items to support quality control.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify and resolve operational issues.
Compliance & Safety
- Comply with occupational safety and health standards and guidelines.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Logistics, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1- 3 years of experience in inventory and warehouse management, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
Skills & Competencies
- High proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and data warehouse systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong prioritization capabilities.
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and reporting tools.
