Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Technical Sales Engineer to join our team and promote solar thermal energy solutions for industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in renewable energy, specifically solar thermal systems, combined with a passion for sales and business development. The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, providing technical consultations to clients, and driving the adoption of solar thermal energy solutions for industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target new business opportunities in the industrial sector, specifically focusing on companies that can benefit from solar thermal energy systems.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, including both new customer acquisition and expansion of business with existing clients.
- Conduct technical sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits of solar thermal systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industrial engineers, facility managers, and decision-makers in targeted industries.
- Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, quotations, and contracts, aligning with client specifications and energy needs.
Technical Consultation:
- Act as the technical expert for clients, providing consultations on solar thermal energy systems tailored to specific industrial processes (e.g., heating, cooling, steam generation, etc.).
- Conduct site assessments to understand the client’s requirements, and work with the engineering team to design customized solar thermal solutions.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of proposed solutions, taking into account the client’s energy demands, existing infrastructure, and system integration.
Project Support:
- Support clients throughout the project lifecycle, from the initial proposal and system design to installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, project management, procurement, etc.) to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Provide post-sale support and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise after system installation.
Market Intelligence and Reporting:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in solar thermal energy, especially in the context of industrial applications.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine the sales strategy.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, including pipeline status, sales activities, and performance against targets.
Training and Education:
- Educate clients on the benefits of solar thermal energy systems, including cost savings, energy efficiency, and environmental impact.
- Conduct webinars, seminars, and workshops to raise awareness and generate leads within target industries.
- Assist in developing marketing materials and technical documentation that highlight the advantages of solar thermal solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or business development, with a focus on renewable energy or industrial energy solutions.
- Proven experience in selling solar thermal systems or other energy-efficient technologies for industrial applications is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of solar thermal energy principles, technologies, and their applications in industrial processes.
- Familiarity with energy auditing, system sizing, and energy consumption analysis.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals and working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.

- Technical Software: Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and energy simulation software is a plus.
