Job Summary:
The Project Manager - Business Development - will possess a unique blend of project management skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the automotive market. As a key player in our business development team, you will lead initiatives aimed at expanding our market share, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities within the automotive sector to drive growth and market penetration.
- Conduct Feasibility Studies and ROI of potential projects
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients, partners, and suppliers in line with company goals.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), Tier 1 suppliers, and automotive industry professionals.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver automotive-related projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Create detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Track project progress and report to senior leadership on the status, risks, and successes of business development initiatives.
- Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.
- Market Analysis & Strategy Development:
- Conduct thorough market analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
- Develop actionable business strategies based on insights gained from market analysis and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and service teams to ensure alignment on business goals and strategies.
- Client Relations & Partnerships:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts and partnership agreements with automotive companies, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote products/services and build the company’s brands presence.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present detailed reports on business development activities, including KPIs, metrics, and project performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to business development projects, client communications, and contracts.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Automotive Technology or another related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, conducting comprehensive business plans for potential projects & business development within the automotive industry, with a proven track record of success.
