We are looking for a motivated Operations Coordinator to join our team, supporting vessel operations, freight forwarding activities, and customer experience. This role sits at the heart of operations, documentation, and client coordination — ensuring seamless execution while delivering best-in-class service to our partners and customers.
This position is ideal for early-career professionals who want to build deep expertise in shipping operations, freight forwarding, documentation, and stakeholder coordination across the maritime and logistics ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee end-to-end vessel documentation processes for vessels calling Aqaba, with particular focus on container and feeder vessels.
• Support logistics and freight forwarding operations, including shipment documentation, coordination with agents, and cargo movement follow-up.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, port regulations, customs procedures, and industry standards.
• Track and monitor containers and cargo movements, ensuring accurate and timely documentation across all shipment stages.
• Act as a coordination hub between shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities, customs, shippers, consignees, transport providers, and internal teams.
• Maintain structured and auditable record-keeping systems for all vessel, shipment, and cargo documentation.
• Prepare and distribute daily operational reports and customer updates.
• Review, validate, and verify documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Proactively identify discrepancies, resolve documentation issues, and escalate risks when required.
• Stay up to date with regulatory changes, customs requirements, and industry best practices.
• Support customer experience by ensuring proactive communication, transparency, and reliability in service delivery.
Qualifications
• 1 – 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping agency operations.
• Strong understanding of vessel and cargo documentation requirements for vessels calling Aqaba, especially container vessels.
• Basic understanding of freight forwarding workflows (import, export, and transit shipments).
• Knowledge of customs processes and documentation flows.
• Experience with documentation and customs systems (ASYCUDA/ ASYHUB experience is an advantage — training will be provided).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to perform under operational pressure.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Strong digital literacy and comfort working with operational systems and reporting tools.
