Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Demand Planner to support the forecasting and inventory planning for Mawasem’s portfolio of franchise brands. This role is critical to ensuring product availability, optimizing stock levels, and supporting sales performance across our Fashion, F&B, Health & Beauty, and Home Furnishings sectors.
The ideal candidate will work closely with our marketing, retail, and procurement teams—analyzing sales trends, preparing demand forecasts, and coordinating with suppliers and franchise partners to ensure timely replenishment and store readiness, especially for new brand launches and seasonal campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecasting & Planning Create and maintain 12-month rolling demand forecasts across all Mawasem brands.
- Analyze historical sales, seasonality, and marketing plans to project future demand.
- Coordinate with marketing and operations on campaign-related volume spikes (e.g. Ramadan, LTOs, back-to-school).
Inventory & Procurement Support
- Monitor store-level inventory and warehouse stock to avoid overstock and stockouts.
- Support procurement by translating demand forecasts into POs with optimal lead times.
- Assist in managing local and international supply schedules (especially for F&B and fashion).
Data & Performance Analysis
- Consolidate sales and stock data from stores, POS systems, and reports to build accurate forecasting models.
- Track performance metrics such as forecast accuracy, days of stock cover, and sell-through rates.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with retail operations, procurement, and brand managers to align on business needs.
- Liaise with suppliers, distributors, and franchise partners to validate order volumes and delivery timelines.
Process Improvement
- Recommend improvements in demand planning tools, forecasting cadence, and reporting formats.
- Participate in inventory planning for new store openings and product introductions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, inventory analysis, or merchandising.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (knowledge of BI tools is a plus).
- Familiarity with retail environments and ERP systems.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
