Capital Bank of Jordan is looking for Data Governance Specialist who is expected to define the Data Governance roadmap for the Bank by providing strategic and operational leadership. The role will oversee all aspects of leading the Data Governance domain including setting the strategy of a strong internal Data Governance function to support the whole Bank. He/ she will collaborate with, influence inspires senior leaders and business in the Bank to use data Governance tools and procedures to drive business impact.
Drive a bank-wide initiative(s) to build Data Governance knowledge and awareness across all the Bank.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Timely and effective development and alignment of data governance roadmap across the Bank.
- Ensure data management strategy is developed, aligned with key stakeholders and all business functions adhere to it.
- Conduct monitoring activities for each data governance component (e.g., Quality, Security); working together with other stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure policies, procedures and standards are in place and followed across the bank.
- Define data quality rules.
- Define standards for data quality monitoring, issue handling and remediation plans.
- Develop enterprise wide exhaustive and high-quality data dictionary with well written business and technical metadata.
- Design and implement data lineage via tools.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the field.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification from DAMA is a plus.
