The Warehouse Officer is responsible for managing warehouse operations and inventory control activities to ensure the accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of materials. The role supports operational efficiency through effective stock management, compliance with inventory procedures, and coordination with internal stakeholders to maintain optimal inventory levels and warehouse standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of inventory items in accordance with approved procedures.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, and quality requirements, ensuring discrepancies are promptly reported and resolved.
- Maintains accurate inventory records and ensure all stock transactions are properly documented within the approved systems.
- Monitors inventory levels and initiate replenishment requests to prevent stock shortages and operational disruptions.
- Ensures proper warehouse organization and storage practices in compliance with FIFO/FEFO principles and applicable safety standards.
- Coordinates the preparation and issuance of materials against approved requests while ensuring complete traceability and accountability.
- Performs regular stock counts, cycle counts, and periodic inventory reconciliations, investigating and reporting any variances.
- Monitors inventory performance, including expiry dates, damaged items, obsolete stock, and slow-moving inventory, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepares inventory and warehouse reports for management review and decision-making.
- Supports procurement and logistics activities by providing timely inventory information and stock availability updates.
- Ensures warehouse compliance with organizational policies, procedures, audit requirements, and internal controls.
- Supports internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory documentation and records.
- Maintains warehouse cleanliness, safety, and security standards at all times.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on Purchase Requisitions (PRs) related to warehouse and inventory requirements, ensuring timely processing and availability of stock.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Responsible for staying up to date with all function- or department-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring personal compliance.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Industrial Engineering or in any related field.
- Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar field.
