Scope of Work :-
- Prepare transaction screening papers, credit appraisal reports, internal credit recommendations and approval memos for syndicated corporation, acquisition, structured and project finance transactions.
- Support primary and secondary loan market activities including distribution strategy, pricing analysis and investor targeting.
- Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, financial models’ assessments, sensitivity analysis, scenario testing and cash flow forecasting.
- Review transaction structures including sources & uses, security package, covenant package, repayment profile and risk allocation.
- Review and comment on commercial financing documentation including mandate letters, term sheets, information memoranda, fee letters, LMA-based finance documents and intercreditor arrangements.
- Perform borrower analysis and financial spreading using approved internal systems (Credit Lens) and coordinate with Credit Risk for internal rating validation.
- Assess transaction profitability using RAROC, ROE, economic capital, pricing and portfolio return metrics on specific deal and on portfolio levels.
- Conduct necessary annual reviews for deals/transactions portfolio as deemed necessary and required per Bank’s policy.
- Coordinate internal approvals across Credit, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, ESG, Finance and senior management.
- Support due diligence activities including technical, legal, insurance, environmental & social and market due diligence.
- Monitor execution milestones from origination through financial close, documentation, conditions precedent, signing, disbursement and post-closing follow-ups.
- Monitor portfolio performance including covenant compliance, waivers, amendments, annual reviews, watchlist reporting and early warning indicators.
- Prepare management reports/dashboards covering pipeline, portfolio, profitability, fees, distribution, underwriting/commitment exposure and market intelligence.
- Support primary and secondary loan market activities including distribution strategy, pricing analysis and investor targeting.
- Maintain transaction database, documentation warehousing and management records.
- Conduct sector, sovereign, macroeconomic and ESG research using reliable sources with proper citation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and AML/KYC standards
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline (Professional qualification -CFA, CPA or equivalent is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in syndicated finance, structured finance, project finance or corporate banking.
- Demonstrated experience in origination, execution, underwriting and/or participation of syndicated loans.
- Understanding of both primary and secondary syndicated loan markets.
- Strong knowledge of LMA documentation, syndicated loan processes and closing mechanics.
- Experience with DFIs, ECAs, export finance or regional/international banks is highly desirable.
- Financial modelling and credit analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of credit risk, covenant analysis and portfolio management.
- Knowledge of ESG and sustainability-linked financing principles is an advantage.
- Understanding of both primary and secondary syndicated loan markets.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication presentation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills; familiarity with AI productivity tools and financial databases.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
Key Performance Expectations:
- Syndicated loan exposure, Net Interest Income and Non-Interest Fee (NIF) fee income and return and profitability.
- Approval turnaround time, transaction closing ratio and execution timelines.
- Portfolio asset quality and covenant compliance.
- Cross-sell and client/prospect relationship development (i.e number of New-To Bank).
