Job: Credit Risk Analyst
Location: Amman – Jordan

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess the creditworthiness of individual, corporate, and SME loan applicants.
- Prepare detailed credit risk assessment reports and present recommendations to credit committees.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for early warning signs of credit deterioration.
- Develop and maintain credit risk models, scoring systems, and rating methodologies.
- Conduct financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and industry/sector risk reviews.
- Ensure lending decisions comply with the bank's credit policies and Central Bank of Jordan regulations.
- Support the classification and provisioning process for non-performing loans in line with IFRS 9.
- Prepare periodic risk reports for senior management, highlighting portfolio trends and concentrations.
- Collaborate with relationship managers and credit committees on structuring and pricing of credit facilities.
- Recommend risk mitigation measures, covenants, and collateral requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in credit risk analysis, corporate banking, or related roles within financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with Central Bank of Jordan regulations and IFRS 9 provisioning requirements.
- Proficiency in credit scoring tools, Excel, and financial modeling.
- Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or CBA is a plus.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and report-writing skills.
- High attention to detail and sound judgment under pressure.
